The app
Convert and Consolidate live side by side in one native window. Everything else stays out of the way.

Every conversion shows an estimated token count — a heuristic estimate of the output size, so you know roughly what you’re about to paste into Claude or ChatGPT before you do.
PDF, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX and more become Markdown with headings, lists and tables intact. Scanned pages go through on-device OCR, so paper archives are as usable as digital ones.

Merge converted documents into a single unified Markdown file, in the order you choose, with clear source headings. One paste instead of twelve uploads.
Sankore intelligently routes each document to the best conversion approach for its type — so a scanned contract, a spreadsheet, and a slide deck all convert accurately, not just adequately.
Local-first, by design
Web converters ask you to upload a contract, a medical record, a board deck to a server you know nothing about. Sankore does the whole job on your machine. There is no upload step, because there is nowhere to upload to.
Conversion and OCR run entirely on-device. Nothing is queued, cached or processed elsewhere.
No analytics, no telemetry, no account. Sankore works with networking off.
Output lands in the folder you pick. Delete it and the job is gone for good.
No subscription, no tiers to outgrow.

Questions
It’s an estimated token count of the converted file — an approximation of how much of an AI model’s context window or API budget the output will use once pasted in. It’s a heuristic estimate, not an exact count from any specific model’s tokenizer.
Sankore is a native macOS app for M-series Macs (M1 and later), macOS 13 Ventura or newer. It does not run on Intel Macs, Windows, Linux, iPad or in a browser — please check before you buy.
